The working principle of the range hood filter.
The range hood filter is designed and developed based on the principles of aerodynamics. Its working principle can be summarized as: negative pressure, suction, separation, and discharge. The steps are as follows:
1. The motor drives the coaxially connected impeller to rotate.
2. The rotation of the impeller stirs the fan blades of the range hood, creating a rapidly ascending airflow.
3. The airflow forms a vortex negative pressure zone near the air inlet, causing the cooking fumes to rise quickly.
4. When the cooking fumes flow to the oil filter mesh, rotational friction occurs, separating the oil from the fumes.
5. The oil adheres to the oil filter mesh and accumulates to a certain amount, then flows down the oil guide column into the oil cup due to gravity.
Tip: The range hood does more than just discharge cooking fumes from the room; its main function is to separate the oil from the fumes. The separation of oil and fumes utilizes a principle in physics: the weight of oil molecules is slightly greater than that of smoke particles. Therefore, after moving rapidly within the separation plate, the oil molecules are flung onto the separation plate by strong centrifugal force. The gathered oil molecules form droplets, which fall into the oil cup due to gravity, so what is discharged outside is not the cooking fumes, but just the smoke.
